The Soroptimist International of Middletown Miami University Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship offered annually to one or more female students who have graduated within the past eight years from high school or GED program, is age 25 or under, and is enrolled as a full time (12 hours or more freshman, sophomore, or junior) student at Miami University and will be taking classes at Miami University in the fall. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic performance (3.0 or higher-grade point average), the potential for advancement, and financial need. The award is made directly to Miami University and applied toward the student’s tuition. Children of Soroptimist members are not eligible.

Applications should be submitted online. If you cannot submit your application online print off an application, use black ink, print neatly, and mail to the address below.

Return this completed application with the following items:

Two letters of reference.

o   One letter should be from a non-family member.

o   One letter must be from a Miami University professor.

A current official Miami University transcript, with the most recently completed semester posted. 

The application, references, and official transcript are mailed together to the following address or completed online before March 1st.
